Self Improvement

January 3, 2016

I have a confession to make...... I don't believe in New Years Resolutions... we always make them, but honestly, how many of us even remember them come week 12 of the year. . . Instead, I belive in ongoing self improvement.

In the spirit of this, and it of course being the start of a new year, I have decided to take on a 52 week photography challenge. My hope is that it will not only provide me with ongoing material to write about right here ( I am after all, no writer), but that it will also push me to step outside of my comfort zone and improve my photography by encouraging me to shoot using differnt methods and unusual subjects.

The challenge itself was created by the folks over at Dogwood Photography and they encourage participants to share their weekly projects, so I hope you do not mind, but this is exactly what I plan to do...

Week 1 requires me to take a self portrait...EEEEK, I guess it's time to find my good side!

Happy New Year everyone, may 2016 it be an epic year for you all.
