Hey there! I'm Karen, a Greenwich, CT–based family photographer and chief memory-catcher. My photographic journey began in the wild and wonderful South Africa, where I learned to snap shots faster than a cheetah on a good day (and also how to politely decline when lions try to photobomb family picnics).
After a 15-year stint in the UK (where I mastered the fine art of photographing in the rain and drinking tea between takes), I found my way to Greenwich. It’s been five years now, and I’m proud to say I can almost find my way around without a GPS!
Photography for me is about capturing the real, unscripted moments of family life — the laughter, the chaos, the “oh no, did the dog just do that?” kind of memories. I live for those authentic, in-between moments — when your toddler decides the middle of the shoot is the perfect time for a snack break, or when the family dog steals the spotlight like a seasoned pro.
My style? Think a mix of candid connection, spontaneous laughter, and the occasional corny joke to loosen up even the most camera-shy crew. As a mom, I get it — family sessions can be unpredictable (somewhere between a game of Monopoly and a circus), but that’s exactly what makes them beautiful.
Whether we’re in your backyard, chasing waves at Tod’s Point, or snuggled on your living room sofa, I’m there to capture your family’s perfectly imperfect magic.
And here’s where Dusty Moon Photography goes beyond the camera — I believe your memories deserve more than a spot in your phone gallery. Together, we’ll turn your favorite moments into custom artwork for your home — framed pieces, gallery walls, and heirloom albums that bring your family’s story to life. Because these aren’t just photos; they’re future keepsakes that make your home feel like yours.
So, let’s join forces to create family portraits that are as fun and genuine as your crew — goofy grins, wiggly toddlers, eye rolls, and all.
Looking forward to capturing your laughter, love, and the little in-between moments that mean everything.
